North Haven, Port Macquarie, Diamond Head, Crowdy Bay National Park, NSW Australia

Learn how to surf and have surfing lessons at Endless Summer Surf School, a Surfing Australia accredited surf school, located at North Haven and Diamond Head at Crowdy Bay National Park, about 4 hours from Sydney and 30 minutes south of Port Macquarie.

At Diamond Head national park the kangaroos come to greet you as you head to the beach. They even swim in the water as you surf past them!  They say Diamond Head got its name because Captain cook saw sparkles that looked like diamonds from his ship. And when it rains heavily, the locals say diamonds like stones sparkle all around.   It is a really amazing place in Australia – with white beaches, great surf, wildlife and interesting history.

Endless Summer Surf School is owned and run by Ian Bell. He grew up in the local area and has been competing since an early age. He was on the shortboard pro junior circuit and on the longboard world tour for 8 years. He has 8 mal titles to his name, was ranked 5th in the world and has featured in many surfing videos. Ian is also an experienced tow-in surfer – surfing 30ft monster waves in Hawaii.

In between competing, Ian worked as a professional lifeguard in Port Macquarie and provided surfing lessons and competition coaching tips to a wide range of people. He is an SA accredited surfing instructor and holds the Gold Medallion Surf Lifesaving (the highest lifesaving award issued), Senior First Aid, Defibrillator, Spinal and Jet Ski rescue qualifications.

Endless Summer Surf School offers group and private surfing lessons from beginner to advanced level, surfing guide trips, surfing awareness, for kids adults, families, girls only, school groups and corporate sessions.

Ian also provides personal coaching lessons for people interested in developing intermediate to advanced surfing and competition boarding riding skills.

Learn to surf lessons are conducted in the most pristine beaches in the world. And there are even kangaroos hopping around. I’ve surfed all over the world and the location here is ideal for learning to surf says Ian. Ian’s extensive surfing experience ensures that you only surf in the best and safest conditions on the day. ‘Surfing is a great lifestyle and we want you to feel a part of this lifestyle when you have lessons with us.”

Family discounts are available. And if you’re after surf boards or gear, the local Surf Shop, Sandy Feet, offers good deals and packages for surf school clients.
